New River Electrical Corporation

The first project by Hughes Associates for NREC was the design of a new 8,200 square foot office building, a 15,000 square foot shop/warehouse building for electrical supplies for the contracting business and a 6,500 square foot paint shop with dedicated paint booth and office spaces. A pre-engineered steel structure was selected for the vehicle repair shop for the fleet vehicles. An attractive frame was designed and a DRYVIT structure to house the office complex, which includes a reception area, conference room and staff offices.

Our second and third project for NREC was an office addition to accommodate the expanding needs of this growing company. It was designed to blend in with the existing building. Because the second phase required joining of the office building with the industrial work areas, special attention was needed for a firewall design.

Hughes Associates provided complete architectural planning and design services for all three projects, leading to detailed construction documents and construction administration.
