Project Completion: 2010 |
HAA remodeled the interior layout of the existing offices and showroom, adding H/C bathrooms, several new offices and added a new 15-space parking lot with associated grading, drainage, utilities and landscaping. One structural bay was added to the product warehouse portion of the building, which was remodeled into the new showroom for the store. New, pre-engineered structure was built over and around the oldest section of the building to deal with several long-term water leaks. The project was phased, to allow the business to function normally while the new showroom was being completed. HAA also assisted the owner in determining the appropriate compensation for acquiring a portion of the owner’s property, required by the Virginia Department of Transportation, for the widening of Route 11/460. A master plan was developed that was used to assist the owner in negotiations with VDOT, HAA also participated in those negotiations.

Project Completion: 1993 |
This project is a complete renovation for an existing 3,890 square foot commercial building in the historic district area in Roanoke. The interior of the structure was completely renovated, down to the existing brick bearing walls and original tin ceiling. New handicapped accessible toilets were added and an existing mezzanine was structurally reinforced. New stairs were built to provide access to the mezzanine area.
The original brick storefront was preserved; however, the glass entrance at the street level was replaced with a new storefront, which keeps the original look and feel of the building façade. |
