Virginia State Police Admin. Office Building

This facility was designed to house both the Division Office for the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Department of Transportation traffic engineering department and highway, traffic, and weather monitoring services. 

The building features a control room with advanced communications equipment designed to interface with traffic monitoring feeds received from digital cameras strategically located along the area’s major interstates.  From the central command station, VDOT and the State Police can post digital messages and warnings along the highway and monitor traffic patterns.  The building was also designed to accommodate a future second-story addition.
