This high performance green building will be the first office building in Botetourt County certified by the LEED Green Building Rating System, administered by the U.S. Breen Building Council (USGBC).
This expansion and renovation will more than double Lanford Brothers existing 4,000 square foot office building, while adhering to the LEED tenants of a healthier, more productive work space for employees and reducing the impact of the buildings construction and operation on energy resources and our environment.
Some of the components utilized in achieving the LEED certification are high efficiency HVAC and lighting systems and utilizing locally available recycled, rapidly renewable building components.
The focal point of the building will be an interior display area for the 1937 caterpillar D-7 bulldozer upon which Jack and Stan Lanford built their company.
