Hughes Associates Architects has been the architect of choice
for Bonsack Baptist Church since 1989. We have provided and designed
Long Range Planning, a Children’s Wing addition, a Sanctuary,
Administrative Wing Renovations, Parking Expansions and Miscellaneous
other renovations.
The sanctuary is the centerpiece of a three-level 25,400 square foot
addition, with 524 seats and a 78-seat choir loft on the main
level, plus a 150-seat balcony above. The lower level serves as
the fellowship hall and kitchen area with seating for 400. Using
folding partitions, the fellowship hall can be divided into
classroom spaces when needed.
This project was awarded the Virginia Masonry Council
Presidents Award for Outstanding Masonry Design in 1992. |
