Sanctuary Addition

The existing church building, a two-story masonry structure constructed in 1966 on a 3.36 acre site, was designed to serve classroom and fellowship needs and to provide temporary space for worship until the sanctuary could be constructed.

Hughes Associates Architects was selected to design a sanctuary located in the area designated by the original master plan to complement the original building while stating its own importance as the worship center for the church.

The new sanctuary addition sits atop a prominent rise with a commanding view of the surrounding mountains and includes a dramatic 300-seat worship area, narthex, a parlor, restrooms, usher’s room and one classroom for a total area of 6,000 square feet. The surrounding property was also improved to provide 70 paved parking spaces and landscaping.
