Hughes Associates Architects serves a three-state region with architectural planning and design services. Founded in 1976 in Salem, Virginia, we incorporated in 1985 in Roanoke, Virginia. We offer the expertise and services of:

We are a professional staff that actively participates in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) while maintaining current continuing education standards.

We provide personalized service in a professional manner. We address construction cost estimates and production schedules early in the design process to assure that the project meets the client's expectations. This has led to a successful history of working within budget, schedule and site constraints

We respond to each client’s wishes with creative, realistic designs that reflect the client's unique expectations.

We partner with local and regional allied consultants to bring an experienced team to each project.

We specialize in using a "Team Build" process. The Owner and Architect team up with a pre-selected Contractor to make design decisions with a strong understanding of the real cost implications.
